We have been experiencing a lot of fog this winter. It can be a scary thing to drive in fog because of low visibility and the roads become very slick at night, but it's only because of this fog that we get to experience this often rare beauty of winter. Ice crystals collect on every little delicate thing, like the twigs of trees, the daintiest blade of grass and each strand of a fence. It is amazingly beautiful. When the sun comes out everything sparkles like millions of diamonds, but not for long. The warmth of the sun melts it away. I am grateful for the beauty of winter.
